MOUNT EVEREST and
THE TOP OF THE WORLD
One of thousands of images made while flying around Everest (Chomolungma) in an especially outfitted Lear jet over a period of a month. This image was made on Christmas Eve. One can almost imagine the curvature of the earth in the original. The transcendent beauty of this tallest piece of the earth is unparalleled. Everest has as a neighbor another 8,000 meter peak - the lovely Makalu. On these flights images were made from every conceivable angle and perspective including looking directly down on the summit. The flights included circling the summit on one occassion to develop a library of fantastic super high resolution black and white photographs. Incidentally this image was also featured as a three page foldout in the National Geographic story for which these images were created. A Giclee Print is available of this image printed with archival inks on handmade 400 gram archival paper for $450.00.00 plus shipping. For further information please e-mail me.
